Capes thesis award

The CAPES Thesis Award recognizes the best doctoral thesis papers defended in Brazilian Graduate Programs according to the following criteria: originality of the work, relevance to scientific, technological, cultural, social and innovation development and the value added by the educational system to the candidate.

Created in 2005 and delivered for the first time in 2006, it covers all areas of knowledge that have a representative in the Stricto sensu Graduate evaluation. One of the objectives of the initiative is to increase the visibility of CAPES’ positive and inducing actions in Brazilian Graduate Studies.

In 2021, the Graduate Program in Veterinary Medicine (Animal Clinics and Reproduction) received an honorable mention for a work presented. The thesis entitled “Technical Efficiency, Embryo Quality, Proteomics and Animal Welfare Associated with Transcervical Embryo Collection in Sheep” (https://app.uff.br/riuff/handle/1/36392) was submitted by student Juliana Dantas Rodrigues dos Santos, supervised by Prof. Dr. Felipe Zandonadi Brandão and co-supervised by Dr. Jeferson Ferreira da Fonseca, Researcher at Embrapa Caprinos e Ovinos (Goats and Sheep).
