Biochemical background of pathological processes Summary: biochemical background of diseases that affect the intermediary metabolism and the underlying mechanism of each disease. Study of the glucidic and proteic metabolism and of circulating lipoproteins: synthesis sites and functions. Biochemistry of kidney, liver, pancrease, and endocrine system changes. Alterations in circulating enzymes. Biochemistry of tumors. Biochecmical background of the hydroelectrolytical balance and of the acid-base balance.

Diagnosis and control of infectious diseases

Summary: study of the infectious diseases that are important in Veterinary Medicine that are caused by infectious agents, defining the etiology, epidemiology, clinical symptomatology, and treatment strategies focused on the diagnosis, prophylaxis, and control.
